The Logophilia College Vocabulary Programme is a result of vast and varied observations by Logophilia research that academics across all disciplines require a rich and sophisticated understanding of Vocabulary. Like the Programme, the textbook contains an assortment of roots from Greek and Latin.
The College Vocabulary Programme Book contains Greek and Latin Roots and their derivatives in the following format: a root (its meaning, language of origin, and illustration); and its derivatives (with, etymology, literal definition, effective definition, and respelled pronunciations). There are four derivatives of each of the one hundred roots in this Book, and their etymologised meanings. Within each of the derivatives, the root has been highlighted so that readers can clearly see the connection between the derivative with its original root. The College Vocabulary Programme has been meticulously designed to empower students towards become sophisticated language comprehenders, rather than mere rote memorisers.
